Dr. Gowing is currently Senior Vice President and Federal Government Practice Leader for Aon Consulting based in the Washington office. Prior to joining AON, Dr. Gowing was a member of the Senior Executive Service for the U. S. Office of Personnel Management where she directed the Personnel Resources and Development Center. In 1999, she received the Presidential Meritorious Rank Award for reengineering government processes, building strategic partnerships of Federal, state and local government and directing the use of advanced technology including Internet administration of organizational culture surveys. Dr. Gowing has also received awards from the Internal Revenue Service, the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the American Society of Association Executives, the U. S. Office of Personnel Management and the National Partnership for Reinventing Government, among others. Dr. Gowing was named “The Distinguished Psychologist in Management for the Year 2000” by the Society of Psychologists in Management and was elected to the office of President after serving on the Board of Directors. In 2001, both the American Psychological Association and the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology named Dr. Gowing to “Fellow” status. She is a past Board member of the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Past President of the Personnel Testing Council of Metropolitan Washington, and Past Secretary of the IPMA Assessment Council. Her publications include two books, Taxonomies of Human Performance (with Edwin A. Fleishman) and The New Organizational Reality: Downsizing, Restructuring and Revitalization (with John Kraft and James Campbell Quick), several book chapters and many professional journal articles. At the invitation of Dave Ulrich and Mark Huselid, she served as Guest Editor for a Special Issue of Human Resources Management Journal on the Public Sector. Dr. Gowing is a graduate of the College of William and Mary and a Distinguished Alumna of The George Washington University where she received her Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. In 2004, Dr. Gowing received the G. W. U. Alumni Service Award. Dr. is a member of the Thomas Jefferson Public Policy Program Advisory Board of the College of William and Mary.

Professor Victor Dulewicz is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist, a Fellow of both the British Psychological Society and the CIPD, and a Member of the Institute of Directors. Currently Director, Centre for Board Effectiveness at Henley Management College, he was previously an occupational psychologist for Rank Xerox and the Civil Service Selection Board, and for nine years Manager, Assessment and Occupational Psychology for the STC Group (now Nortel). He has co-authored three books, written more than 100 articles and papers, and presented at numerous national and international conferences on management assessment and development.

Professor Malcolm Higgs is director School of Leadership, Change and HR and is the Director of Research, Henley Management College. Dr. Higgs has conducted extensive research into the use and application of assessment centers for management development; a major research program into the human resource implications of major changes in UK financial markets; individual coaching and assessment, senior team development and the assessment of organizational learning climates. He has published widely on leadership and Emotional Intelligence.

Clive
Fletcher is Emeritus Professor of Psychology at Goldsmiths' College,
University of London, Visiting Professor at Henley Management College
and Managing Director of Personnel Assessment Limited. After completing
his PhD, he worked for some years as a consultant psychologist in the UK
Civil Service before taking up his first academic post. A Fellow of the
British Psychological Society and a former Chairman of its Occupational
Psychology Section, Professor Fletcher has been involved in teaching and
research in the field of managerial assessment and appraisal for over 25
years, and has produced nearly 200 books, articles and conference papers
in this area. Clive is a consultant to a wide range of organizations on
psychological assessment, 360 degree feedback systems, and performance
management. His knowledge and experience in the assessment field is
recognised internationally; he has given invited papers at conferences
in the USA and throughout Europe and serves on the Advisory Boards of a
number of overseas companies working in the assessment field. Details of

Slaski, Ph.D. is a consulting psychologist and senior lecturer in
Organizational Psychology at
the University of Hertoford in the UK. His main
research interests surround
the application of emotional intelligence in
organizations, and
particularly the relationship between EI, leadership,
management performance,
well-being and organizational culture. Dr. Slaski
has published work on the
assessment of EI measures, evaluation of an EI
development program, and the
moderating effects of EI on stress and health.
His work with retail managers
demonstrated the effectiveness of developing
emotional intelligence and
the positive impact of that development on
performance, well being and
health.
