360 Feedback - From Populist Fashion to Performance Tool - A 21st Century Approach
The principle of formal 360°
feedback has been espoused for well over a decade, but practical
experience suggests the long-term benefits have been limited in most
organisations. This
workshop outlines some requirements around the actual organisational
culture that is required for 360°
processes to be implemented effectively. A range of practical steps are suggested to achieve success
including translation of competencies into visible and actionable
behaviours, a fair and balanced administration process. The final phase of any 360°
process should provide a forum for recipients to share findings with
each other and invite feedback and support for on-going development.
This is rarely achieved in many organisations.
In this interactive workshop, participants will have an opportunity to
share insights regarding their personal experiences and challenges of
applying 360°
principles to modern organisations.
