Lessons Learned Over 25 Years—Sustainability of Assessment Centers
This session will focus on a 25-year continuous use of assessment centers at Credit Suisse. It will cover the characteristics of the Credit Suisse AC - assessors, dimensions, purpose and integration into the HR process. It will also cover how assessment centers play a part in career development. Mr. Birri will also share why Credit Suisse has had such a long-term use of assessment centers and how they are perceived by high level line managers and HR.

PhD in Neuropsychology with 5 yrs practice in neuropsychological diagnostics at the University Hospital in Zürich. Several years experience as SW-developer in large organizations while studying Psychology at the University of Zürich. Two years Post-Doc Research Fellow at the 'Human Sciences and Advanced Technology (HUSAT)' Unit at Loughborough University of Technology (UK). 12 years at Credit Suisse in Zürich, as expert for Human Factors of IT-Systems, implementing the first Usability Lab in Switzerland, then responsible for Methods & Tools in SW-Development, several years experience as manager after having attended the Credit Suisse Assessment Center in 1991. Since 1995 Head of Assessment Services in Credit Suisse.
